The online weather forecaster Skymet Weather reports that another spell of rain and snow has commenced over the hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and also light rain and snow has already recorded at higher reaches such as Pahalgam and Baramulla.
This has happened due to the fresh Western Disturbance, which is now seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region. In wake of this, weather conditions have become conducive for the weather activity.
Rain bearing clouds have been hovering over the region since morning, and day temperatures have already taken a significant dip. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures have increased due to rise in levels of humidity.
They also predict the system is likely to clear away from the region after the next 24 hours. Thus, activity will also prevail for 24 to 36 hours only.
Bringing a good news for the tourists the famous tourist spots of Srinagar, Manali, Shimla, Gulmarg, Pahalgam will see another spell of snow. Places such as Nainital have also recorded snowfall after the span of two years.
