Discovery Networks India has decided to launch a new sports channel due to gain the market share in the country and due to the rising in demand for sports. The Discovery Network already have 11 infotainment channels in India but this will be the first sports channel launching by them. The sports channel is named as DSports and the launch happened on Monday.

With this, it enters a market currently led by broadcasters Star and Sony Pictures Network.
