CBSE, CBI Told to Reply To Dad’s Plea
New Delhi: Three days after the brutal murder of 7 year old boy in a Gurgaon School, the Supreme Court on Monday sought the response of the Centre and the Haryana police on his father’s plea seeking a CBI probe into it and framing of guidelines to ensure safety of children.
Pradyuman, a class II stident of the Ryan International School, was found dead on the morning of September 8 inside the school toilet. Evidences find the school bus conductor Ashok Kumar guilty.
Besides the Human Resources Development ministry and the Haryana DGP, a bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Mishra also sought a response from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and CBI on the plea filed by the father of the child, Barun Chandra Thakur.
The plea has sought laying down of guidelines by which “liability, resposibility and accountability of the management of the school” across the country can be fixed in matters relating to safety and security of children at educational institutions.
