Onion prices crash 35% after raids

Onion traders have lodged a protest against raids on large farmers and stockists in Nashik district of Maharashtra for allegedly holding stocks with the aim of manipulating prices. The Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Lasalgaon, Asia’s largest onion market yard, remained shut on Friday.
